WiK's Pix Field Backup Privacy Policy

WiK's Pix Field Backup is designed to back up media between storage devices connected to your iPhone or iPad. It includes a companion app for Apple Watch.

Data collection

WiK's Pix Field Backup does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking, accounts, or cloud services.

Photos and files

The app accesses only the folders you select through Apple's system file picker. It reads camera-card media to copy and verify it, and writes backup files, manifests, and logs to the destinations you select. The app stores selected backup-destination permissions locally on your device so those destinations can be reused when the app is reopened. Camera-card selections are not restored after the app closes.

The Apple Watch companion does not access your photos, camera cards, or backup drives. For a backup performed on the paired iPhone, the iPhone app sends localized completion or failure status, including the result message and time, to the Watch using Apple's Watch connectivity system. Apple Watch does not pair with iPad, so iPad backup results are not sent to the Watch. This information remains within your paired Apple devices and is not sent to WiK's Pix.

If you turn on “Clear card after verified backup,” the app removes the contents of the selected source card only after the backup completes and every selected destination is safely verified. The app does not clear the source if a selected destination is unavailable or lacks sufficient free space. This action affects the selected card; it does not erase the card's filesystem.

Data retention

Your media, backup records, and selected-folder permissions remain on your devices. WiK's Pix Field Backup does not receive a copy of them.

Children’s privacy

Because WiK's Pix Field Backup does not collect personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date and updated policy will be posted at the support website listed on the App Store product page.
